Apple TV won’t turn on? Read on for solutions to this issue.
Resolution
Check the indicator light on the front of your Apple TV.
- If the light blinks for more than three minutes, restore your Apple TV.
- If the light is steady (it doesn’t blink), your Apple TV may have a video-output issue instead of a power issue.
If there’s no light on the front of your Apple TV, follow these steps:
- Inspect the Apple TV power cord for any sign of wear, strain, charring, or other damage.
- Unplug the Apple TV power cord from your Apple TV. Wait thirty seconds, then plug it back in.
- Plug the Apple TV power cord into a different power outlet or power strip.
- Try using a different Apple TV power cord, if you have one.
- Try to restore your Apple TV from your computer.
If you still see the issue after following these steps, contact Apple Support or take your Apple TV to the nearest Apple Store.
